About Us
Since 1969, the practice of Forsyth Family Eye Care (formerly Old Town Family Eye Care) has been the leader and preferred provider of quality vision care products and personalized optometric services to our patients in Winston-Salem and the surrounding areas. Our experienced doctors and staff offer comprehensive vision examinations and specialize in diagnosing and treating a wide array of eye diseases, conditions, and problems.

In July of 2008, Dr. Appanaitis assumed sole ownership of the practice. Dr. Ramsey continued to practice on a part-time basis until his retirement in November of 2011. Dr. Amy Gurley joined the group has remained on a full-time schedule.
In February of 2015, due to continued growth, the practice relocated to The Village at Robinhood and was renamed Forsyth Family Eye Care. Click here for directions to the new location.
